Hyderabad, Sep. 15: The Hyderabad based Bharat Biotech International today announced scaling up of its facilities to make 100 million doses of Hepatitis B vaccine (Revac-B) annually, from eight million doses. The company, which set up the original facility here at an outlay of Rs. 17 crores, incurrent another Rs. 4 crores for enhancing the capacity according to Mr. Krishna M. Ella, Chairman and Managing Director.

Addressing a press conference, Mr. Ella said the product was launched in November last, and commercial sales started in January. He said the company bagged orders (through tenders) from the Haryana Government and others for one million doses.
