Hyderabad: Bharat Biotech has donated vaccines and therapeutics worth Rs 10 lakh to chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy for tsunami victims in the state.

"The disaster created by tsunami is accentuated many times by spread of epidemics," said Suchitra Ella, founder director of Bharat Biotech International Ltd, adding that it was important to control diseases such as typhoid and diarrhoea by taking appropriate health care measures.

The company has donated 5,000 doses of a typhoid vaccine, 5,000 capsules of anti-diarrhoea drug and 10,000 sachets of oral rehydration salts with Zinc (ORS).
