The Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 was
awarded to Nayana Karunaratne which was given out by Chairman Seylan
Bank Dr. Lalith kotelawala along with Seylan Bank Chairperson Dr
Secille kotelawala and Seylan Regina CEO Indira Kulathileka.
Other key awards were in the Micro Category that was given to
Kamala Uyanage of Anuja Lace & Batiks.
Ms. Sumanda Weerasinghe of Sujan International (Pvt) Ltd., bagged
the Gold in the Small Category.
With no gold given in the Medium Category, however, the Silver
award was handed over to Ms. Yolanda Aluwihare Holm of the Yolande
Collection (Pvt) Ltd.
In the Large Category Ms. Nayana Karunaratne of Salon Nayana
received the gold award.
Ms. Suchitra K. Ella of Bharat Biotech International Ltd India
received the SAARC Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award while the
Most Innovative award was awarded to Ms. Sumanda Weerasinghe
of Sujan International (Pvt) Ltd.
The Professional Woman of the Year award was clinched by Pan Asia
Bank CEO Kirmali Fernando.
