- This modality of treatment is fast replacing the conventional methods of oral medication.
- This therapy is highly focused to address the cause for pain in osteoarthritis.
- Local events such as pain & slight swelling are seen, but these symptoms do not last long generally. Ice pack can be used to ease the pain.
- Excessive stress (such as standing for long periods, jogging of lifting of heavy weights) on the knee joint must be avoided for the first 48 hours post injection.
