Bharat Biotech donates 10 lakh worth vaccines & therapeutics to Tsunami victims
December 31, 2004, Hyderabad: Suchitra Ella, Founder Director of Bharat Biotech International Limited handed over vaccines and therapeutics worth Rs.10 Lakh to Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday, for victims ravaged by Tsunami in the state.
“The disaster created by Tsunami is accentuated many times by spread of epidemics,” said Suchitra Ella. “Diseases such as Typhoid and Diarrhoea can create havoc and take human lives. It is therefore vital to control these diseases by taking appropriate healthcare measures such as vaccination and administering ORS and controlling diarrheal diseases,” she added.
Bharat Biotech is extending its support to the Government of Andhra Pradesh by donating the following products:
- TYPBAR - A new Genration Typhoid vaccine – 5000 doses
- BIOGIT - Anti- diarrheal (India's first probiotic yeast) – 5000 capsules
- ZELECT - Oral Rehydration salts with Zinc (WHO approved formula) – 10,000 sachets
